Ireland , where she was born, and where she lived until the age of 23, is one of two major influences in Flo’s art. The other is New England, where she has lived for over 20 years. The scenery of her homeland, deep in her thoughts and memories, emerges in the vistas and seashores of her paintings. The woods of New England, continually transformed by the turn of the seasons, are another source of inspiration. Technically adept in watercolor and oil, Flo believes creating atmosphere in her paintings is more important than attaining strict realism.
